Ecco finalmente il primo diario di bordo, un pochino fuori standard dato che iniziamo da Roma.
La partenza è stata perfetta, Roma/Amsterdam con uno scalo di un paio di ore.
Alle 18.20, in perfetto orario partiamo alla volta di NEW YORK. Sorvoliamo la Groenlandia, si vede tutto benissimo, è meraviglioso!!!
Euforici più che mai, Daniz, Smart, Alexia, Elfo, Ontheroad, Avvmax e Thelma finalmente iniziamo il viaggio dei sogni.
L’arrivo al JFK è stato perfetto, ma abbiamo avuto una lunghissima attesa per ol controllo passaporti e la registrazione delle impronte digitali di 2 ore!!
Finalmente, a mezzanotte , ora locale (le 6 del mattino per noi) arriviamo in camera. L’hotel è un Best Western, da una parte abbiamo un panorama inquietante, un enorme cimitero di lapidi immerse (avete presente il giardinetto della Famiglia Addams?) ma dall’altra parte… i grattacieli di Manhattan!
E’ davvero un sogno!!
Siamo davvero negli Stati Uniti.
… a domani, oggi è stata una giornata davvero emozionante.
Pensieri del giorno .. beh qui servirebbe davvero un poema per descrivere il tutto!
Finalmente Thelma si rasserena, per settimana ha avuto l’incubo che non passasse alla dogana, in aereo continua a ripetere (ma allora è valido!!!!).
Dopo mesi di preparativi, ora può rilassarsi e pensare è fatta!.. più tardi i pensieri di tutti (chi scrive è Thelma e gli altri già dormono).
Nota positiva: Positivissimo!! La KLM ci ha trattati da tacchini del giorno del ringraziamento! Durante le ore di volo i pasti serviti stati tantissimi, dal pranzo a base di pesce alle merendine ogni ora! Inutile dire che i Friends…non se ne sono lasciata scappare una.
Nel primo giorno di suolo americano abbiamo trovato tutti estremamente gentilissimi e molto disponibili.
Nota Negativa: potrebbe essere la lunghissima attesa al JFK per le impronte digitali, ma siamo tutti più sicuri se fanno scrupolosi controlli!
Consiglio del giorno: Se scommettete di non prendere peso prima di partire per il Coast to Coast .. non volate con Klm!
