Dicono che in America sia il 13 il giorno sfigato, noi in Italia replichiamo a gran voce che è invece il 17… e, venerdì 17 sarebbe il top della sfiga! Infatti oggi, 17, la news è che abbiamo perso i documenti della macchina. Luca, Elfo, responsabile del Minivan ha (finalmente) toppato anche lui! Partiamo con un’ora di ritardo. La direzione è il primo aeroporto per farci dare i duplicati del minivan da Avis. Nel minivan accede questo: Avvmax è alla guida, Danix è davanti con il PC e lavora alle foto oltre a tenere sempre sott’occhio “la Signora Garret”. Elfo, Alexia e smart giocano a carte, Ontheroad aggiorna i dati sul suo palmare con le ultime spese e Thelma scrive questo diario di bordo (finalmente in viaggio ho il tempo di dedicarmi a voi!)
Alle 14, finalmente torniamo in possesso delle copie del contratto di noleggio e non siamo più dei fuorilegge. Siamo all’aeroporto di Roanoke. Ripartiamo. Ecco un altro disastro, Danix sradica letteralmente il cavetto della “signora G
arret”… ed ora siamo senza satellitare! Ma che importa siamo Friends o no? I pionieri di una volta mica andavano in giro con il GPS! Il pranzo è in versione messicana, il Taco Bell, il fast food a base di chili è conquistato!!!
Smart, Alexia, Danix ed io facciamo il carico di nachos… ma sbirciando il tavolo accanto scopriamo che anche Avvmax, Otr ed Elfo non sono da meno. Passiamo la Virginia ed arriviamo in Tennessee. Il panorama per tutto il giorno è verdissimo. Distese infinite di alberi e giardini ben curati, le strade sono grandi e meravigliosi truck (i famosi camion americani) ci accompagnano per tutto il viaggio. in tarda serata arriviamo finalmente a Nashville. Doccia e cambio in motel e tutti in direzione centro.
Nashville è meravigliosa, ci sono milioni di locali dove suonano gruppi folk con cappelli da cowboy e la gente balla ovunque. E’ tutto in festa. I locali hanno il palco in vetrina e le serate sono tutte è visibili. C’è festa ovunque… ma è un giorno qualunque, questa è Nashville. Luci per le strade ed edifici bassi come nel vecchio Far West. Beviamo, balliamo, brindiamo e tutti a dormire (sono ormai le 3 del mattino)
Pensieri del giorno: Tante belle cose, tutto ordinato e perfetta ma la gente… ‘ndo sta??? Secondo pensiero del giorno: speriamo che finisca presto perché fra i documenti persi e la Garret accoppata, qui la vediamo brutta!
Pensiero positivo: viaggiare nel verde del Tennessee con la musica country portata da Ontheroad è proprio come avevamo sempre immaginato
Pensiero negativo: la musica country…. Dopo un po’…. ma che palle!!!
Consiglio del giorno: ballate e cantate in una festa country perché è fighissimo!!
